Sizing fans for your commercial space
Need some extra advice on which ceiling fan will work best? As a general guideline, the room where the fan is situated should be 5-7 times its diameter in square feet. Of course, this might vary, depending on the fixtures and furnishings in the room. We’ll take a look at your intended location and discuss all possible options with you, so you can make an informed choice.
Repairing existing fans
Fan gone wobbly? It’s likely that one of the connecting parts is loose or worn. Not turning on at all? Check for a tripped circuit breaker. If this isn’t the case, the issue could be with the fan’s wiring, or perhaps one of its internal components. This depends on the size and layout of your commercial space; but, if it requires a large amount of light, a ceiling fan with an LED bulb may be just what you need!
Are there any rules about the sizing and spacing of commercial ceiling fans?
Aside from the guideline mentioned above, you’ll want to consider the following:

The fan should spin at the height of its diameteroff the floor, ensuring staff can walk safely under it.

Fan blade tips should avoid any other ceiling installations or high-standing features by at least 2 feet.

Large fans will need around 5-7 feet of space above them to operate efficiently.
