About Huntley Skinner Electrical

Sam started his trade in the mining industry. The first 3 years out of his trade he worked with the fixed plant maintenance team gaining experience and knowledge of control instrumentation, weightometers, HV and LV operation, fault finding and preventative maintenance.

 

He was responsible for power distribution and consulting on network design for the underground operations.

 

During his time working for Glencore Metals, Sam was offered an opportunity to complete a self-motivated future leaders program that gave him the opportunity to explore all aspects of the business, attend leadership training and be mentored by other leaders from within the business. Upon completion of the future leaders program, Sam was promoted into the high voltage electrical department, where he filled the role of technical expert while maintaining, testing and commissioning HV infrastructure.

More recently, Sam has diversified in his skills in the domestic and commercial market where he can install anything from as basic as lights, fans, data points, smoke detectors and electrical appliances, through to air-conditioning units, variable speed drives for irrigation pumping, solar pumps, house re-wiring and power connections to residences.

 

Sam also conducts thorough safety inspections that comply with Australian electrical standards (AS3000:2018).
